World Sorghum Production 2016/2017

April 2017

This month the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates that the World Sorghum Production 2016/2017 will be 62.5 million metric tons, around 0.28 million tons less than the previous month's projection.

Sorghum Production last year (*) was 59.6 million tons. This year's 62.5 estimated million tons could represent an increase of 2.9 million tons or a 4.87% in sorghum production around the globe.
